FABRIC REQUIREMENTS AND CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL 12 BLOCKS
If you decide you want to make one of each block in the BOM, the following fabric requirements and cutting instructions will help you cut all of your blocks at once. I am not the sort of quilter who works this way… I would be certain to cut out one block and then sew that block up right away, as I want the instant gratification of finishing blocks. But that approach can lead me to being a bit wasteful with fabric usage and it’s hard to plan ahead in terms of total fabric quantities needed. If you’d like to avoid these issues, please do cut all of your blocks at once using the instructions below.
If you do not plan to follow these cutting instructions, and instead will cut and sew the blocks one at a time, I’d definitely recommend buying your fabrics much more generously than I’ve indicated. That way you’ll be certain to have enough, no matter how you approach cutting out your fabric!
TIP: Make sure to pin lil’ labels to your pieces as you cut them out as it will otherwise be very tough to keep track of them later!
